Continuing along with our Moto Survival Essentials Series, this week we cover the importance of clean drinking water as well as an easy way to procure and contain it.

Going by the rule of 3's, the body is only going to hold up without water for a maximum of three days. Now as unlikely as it is for you to be stranded for three days, it's still possible and that makes fresh, drinkable water the next concern. Whenever you set off on a motorcycle ride you should always bring some drinking water with you whether it be in a bladder you wear on your back, a couple of bottles thrown into your pack, or my personal favorite; the super-light, rollable "anti-bottle" from Vapur (pictured below).

Regardless of how you decide to carry your water, if you're up against a survival scenario, you're eventually going to run out and you'll have to start looking for another source of H2O. The problem, as we all know, with water found in the wilderness is the bacteria that live in it and that bacteria can make you super sick. The best way to get rid of bacteria when not able to boil the water is to carry a pack of water purifying tablets such as the ones made by Aquamira. These dissolve in the water to kill anything in there that wants to kill you.
